The UK-based Times Higher Education has recently published the World University Rankings 2024. They include a total of 1,906 universities across 108 countries and regions. According to their report, the University of Oxford is the best university in the world. Moreover, Tsinghua University in China has ranked 12th in the global as the best university in Asia.
As an influential country in the Middle East a total of 32 universities in Saudi Arabia have been included in this newly published ranking in 2024. The King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia has emerged as the best university in Saudi Arabia as well as in the Middle East. This valuable university has been ranked 201st to 250th on this list.
the King Abdulaziz University is ranked 251st to 300th as the second-best university in Saudi Arabia. the King Saud University, Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, and Prince Sultan University in Saudi Arabia are ranked 401st to 500th best universities in the world.
according to the report, AL Faisal University, King Khalid University, and Taif University in the Kingdom are ranked 501st to 600th among the among the best universities in the world. On the other hand, Saudi Electronic University has written its name as the latest university in Saudi Arabia in the Time Higher Education University Rankings 2024.
In fact, in recent years, the government of Mohammed bin Salman of KSA has achieved great progress in the development of the country’s overall education sector. Especially in keeping with the modern world, the country has invested a large amount of money in the science and technology sector. Moreover, in order to implement the Vision 2030 goal, KSA government has allocated about $52 billion in the national budget for the modernization of the education sector in 2024.
